Our Mirrored Glass collections have been consistently popular over the years, there is no denying it is truly stunning and works well in any style of home. It also opens up spaces and creates the impression of a larger room. We have put together our top tips for caring for your furniture to ensure it lasts you a lifetime!
To keep your furniture sparkling make sure the cloth is clean as it can cause smears and also make sure that the cloth is very soft to protect the furniture against abrasion - we recommend a high quality microfibre cloth.
This can cost as little as £20 and they normally will deliver to your home. The top of your furniture such as a bedside table or chest of drawers will encounter the most wear and tear so having an extra protective top will help keep it in perfect condition.
Such as Cif, this will scratch the surface of the glass. Make sure the product says it is suitable for glass before use.
We recommend using the 'Turtlewax ClearVue Glass Cleaner' for keeping fingerprints at bay. Do not spray too much as this will make the glass go smeary, use a small amount and rub with your clean cloth after removing any dust on your furniture.
Overtime your handles may become slightly loose, always tighten them gently by hand - DO NOT use a screwdriver. If you over tighten the handles the glass will crack.
Items such as picture frames can easily scratch the surface of your mirrored furniture when dragged along so to keep your furniture looking brand new try to avoid this.
When vacuuming around your mirrored furniture always take care as vacuum impacts can cause cracks.
Dry Nail glue and varnish spillages can be removed by using a razor blade held horizontal at a slight angle to gently remove the glue/varnish.
If you do happen to crack a drawer you can remove it and take to your local glass merchant where they will remove the cracked glass and replace with a new piece, typical cost for this is about £40.
Chips in the black paint inside the drawers can be easily touched up with a Black Marker pen available in any art or stationary store.
